Corporate Governance
We implement our Whistleblowing Policy to strive towards strengthening our corporate governance.

Whistleblowing Policy

The Whistleblowing Policy is intended to provide a framework to promote responsible and secure whistle-blowing without fear of adverse consequences.

PIL does not tolerate any malpractice, impropriety, statutory non-compliance or wrongdoing by staff in the course of their work. Employees and outside parties, such as suppliers, customers, contractors and other stakeholders, may use the channels set out in this Policy to report any concern or complaint regarding:

  • Questionable accounting matters

  • Conflict of interest

  • Insider trading

  • Collusion with competitors

  • Breaches of Group policy

  • Unsafe work practices

  • Fraud

  • Employee misconduct

  • Others

The Whistleblowing Policy allows for reporting by employees of the Group or outside parties of such matters to the Whistleblower Committee, without fear of reprisal, discrimination or adverse consequences, and also permits the Committee to address such reports by taking appropriate action/(s) against the responsible parties. The Policy is meant to protect genuine whistle-blowers from any unfair treatment as a result of their report. Frivolous and bogus complaints will be disregarded.

Whistle-blowers should report their concerns in good faith. The Policy is not a route for taking up personal grievances. These should continue to be taken up directly with your superiors or the relevant Division or Department heads in your respective companies.

Whistle-blowers are allowed to report in anonymity. However, we do encourage whistle-blowers to put their names to the allegations in case further information or clarification is required.
